Step Two To complete the passage with the given words. (Activity 1)
1. Students finish it by themselves.
2. Students listen and check the answers.
3. Detail explanations:
1) He was the engineer of a railroad in the mountains with many bridges and tunnels.
Translation: 他是一條鐵路的工程師，該鐵路筑于山里，有許多橋梁和隧道。
with many bridges and tunnels為介短語(yǔ)作定語(yǔ)，修飾railroad。

1. Students listen to the tape and answer the given questions.
1) Who was Zhan Tianyou? He was a national hero.
