一般疑問句
不用疑問詞，但需要用yes 或no 回答的疑問句，叫一般疑問句。用升調，句末用問號“?”。
1、be 動詞的'一般疑問句
句型：Be 動詞+主語～?
Is your father angry ?你父親生氣了嗎?
Yes ，he is.是的，他生氣了。
No ，he isnt.不，他沒生氣。
Are there any birds in the sky ?天空中有鳥嗎?
Yes ，there are.是的，有。
No ，there arent.不，沒有。
Were the babies crying last night ?(進行時)
昨天晚上這些孩子們一直在哭嗎?
Yes ，they were.是的，他們在哭。
No ，they werent.不，他們沒哭。
Is English spoken all over the world ?(被動語態)全世界都說英語嗎?
Yes ，it is.是的。
No ，it isnt.不。
注意
進行時和被動語態(一般現在時、一般過去時、進行時)皆含有be
動詞，所以它們的疑問句和be 動詞的疑問句相同。
2、情態動詞的一般疑問句
句型：情態動詞+主語+動詞原形～?
Can you bring me some apples ?你能給我拿來些蘋果嗎?
Yes ，I can.是的，可以。
No ，I cant.不，不可以。
Must I do it now ?我必須現在做嗎?
Yes ，you must.是的，你必須。
No ，you neednt.不，你不必。
3、一般動詞(實義動詞)的一般疑問句
句型：Do (Does ，Did )+主語+動詞原形～?
Does he have supper at home every day ?
他每天在家吃飯嗎?
Yes ，he does.是的。
No ，he doesnt.不。
Did he do morning exercises yesterday ?
昨天他做早操了嗎?
Yes ，he did.是的，他做了。
No ，he didnt.不，他沒做。
4、完成時的一般疑問句
句型：Have (Has )+主語+動詞的過去分詞+～?
Have you known her since your childhood ?
你從童年就認識她嗎?
Yes ，I have.是的。
No ，I havent.不。
5、過去完成時的一般疑問句
句型：Had +主語+動詞的過去分詞+～?
Had he learned about two thousand English
words before he came here ?
他來這里以前就已經學了大約兩千個單詞了嗎?
Yes ，he had.是的。
No ，he hadnt.不。
一般疑問句有個很有用的結構，就是：疑問詞+不定式動詞(question word + to-infinitive)。
疑問詞是疑問代詞“who, whom, what, which, whose”和疑問副詞“when, where, how, why ”。此外，連接詞“whether”也適用。
“疑問詞+不定式動詞”結構有何功用呢?其主要功用有下列五種：
⑴當主語，如：
● When to hold the meeting has not yet been decided.
● Where to live is a problem.
● How to cope with the rising cost of living becomes a daily discussion topic.
⑵當賓語，如：
● We must know what to say at a meeting.
● He could not tell whom to trust.
● Do you know how to play bridge?
⑶當補足語，如：
● The problem is where to find the financial aid.
● The question is who to elect.
⑷當名詞同位語，如：
● Tom had no idea which book to read first.
● Do you have a rough impression how to do it?
⑸當賓語補足語，如：
● Jim is not sure whose to choose.
● Mary and John are not certain whether to get married or not.
適用于“疑問詞+不定式動詞”的動詞包括：“know, see, decide, tell, ask, consider, discover, explain, forget, guess, hear, imagine, inquire, learn, remember, think, wonder, understand”等。
有點值得特別注意的是：當這結構當賓語時，它的作用等于名詞分句，例如：
● I could not decide which dictonary to buy. / I could not decide which dictionary I should buy.
● Jack did not know where to find such a good teacher./ Jack did not know where he could find such a good teacher.
有些動詞，如“ask, show, tell, advise, inform, teach”等，可以先有個賓語，然后才接著加上適當的“疑問詞+不定式動詞” 結構。例如：
● The chief technician showed the apprentice how to repair the machine.
● Have you told him where to get the application form?
綜上所述，可見“疑問詞+不定式動詞”結構是個形象清新，既容易用又不容易出錯的特別結構，可以多多運用。
