　　Abstract

　　English, as a foreign language, has been widely learned throughout China in the past thirty years or so. In the 21st century，English is becoming more and more important in the international communication due to the globalization. Both the teachers and the learners have tried a variety of strategies in order to achieve high proficiency of English. Language is a tool for communication and it can only realize its function when it is used in different realistic communicative contexts. In China, English can only be learned as a foreign language instead of a second language since there is no English language environment at all. Therefore, as English teacher need to create a language situation as true as possible, for encouraging the students communicate with each other in English. It is evident that the teacher plays a major role in the language classroom.

　　過去的三十年中，在中國英語作為一種外語受到廣泛的關(guān)注。進(jìn)入二十一世紀(jì)以來隨著經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化發(fā)展，英語在國際交流中的作用越來越重要。為了能更好地掌握這門語言，老師與學(xué)生都積極嘗試用各種方法學(xué)習(xí)。語言是交際工具，只有當(dāng)其處于某種真實(shí)的'語境中方可實(shí)現(xiàn)它的交際功能。因?yàn)橹袊鴽]有英語語言環(huán)境，所以英語只能被作為一種外語而非第二語言來學(xué)習(xí)，因此教師需為學(xué)生創(chuàng)造一個盡可能真實(shí)的語言環(huán)境供其交流。由此以來教師在語言教學(xué)中的作用顯得尤為重要。
