　　My Father

　　When I was:

　　Four years old: My daddy can do anything.

　　Five years old: My daddy knows a whole lot.

　　Six years old: My dad is smarter than your dad.

　　Eight years old: My dad doesn't know exactly everything.

　　Ten years old: In the olden days, when my dad grew up, things were sure different.

　　Twelve years old: Oh, well, naturally, Dad doesn't know anything about that. He is too old to remember his childhood.

　　Fourteen years old: Don't pay any attention to my dad. He is so old-fashioned1.

　　Twenty-one years old: Him? My Lord2, he's hopelessly out of date.

　　Twenty-five years old: Dad knows about it, but then he should, because he has been around so long.

　　Thirty years old: Maybe we should ask Dad what he thinks. After all, he's had a lot of experience.

　　當(dāng)我八歲的時(shí)候：爸爸并不是知道每一件事。

　　當(dāng)我十歲的時(shí)候：在爸爸成長的舊日里，事情和現(xiàn)在完全不同。

　　當(dāng)我十二歲的時(shí)候：哦，很顯然，爸爸對于那件事什么也不知道。他太老了，回憶不起自己的童年了。

　　當(dāng)我十四歲的時(shí)候：別管我爸爸。他太守舊了。

　　當(dāng)我二十一歲的時(shí)候：他？上帝，他是無可救藥地過時(shí)了。
