六句實寫泰山之景。
開頭一句“岱宗夫如何”，以一句設問統領下文。二句的“齊魯青未了”自問自答，生動形象地道出泰山的綿延 、高大。“青”字是寫青翠的山色，“末了”是表現山勢座落之廣大 ，青翠之色一望無際。這是遠望之景。
三 、四句是近望之勢。“造化鐘神秀”是說泰山秀美無比，仿佛大自然將一切神奇秀麗都聚集在這里了，一個“鐘”字生動有力。“陰陽割昏曉”，突出泰山的高聳挺拔，高得把山南山北分成光明與昏暗的兩個天地 。“割”字形象貼切，給參天矗立的山姿賦予了生命力。
