1、what’s your name?你叫什么名字？
當你想知道對方叫什么名字時，可用此句型詢問對方，一般在句末加please委婉表達。另外我們還可以用could i have your name please?或may i have your name please?來表達此意，也可以簡單地說your name, please?回答時應用my name is +姓名。例如：

— i’m gina. nice to meet you.我是吉娜，很高興見到你。
nice to meet you.的幾個同義句有：glad to meet you. / nice to see you. / pleased to see you.
3、當有中間人或第三者在時，介紹法如下：
a: this is mr. hu.這是胡先生。
b: how do you do?你。
c: my name is li ping. how do you do?我是李平。你。
或a: this is mr. hu.這是胡先生。
b: nice to meet you.很高興見到你。
c: nice to meet you, too.很高興見到你。
