the students of our school had a discussion about whether listening test in the national matriculation english test should be. kept or canceled. some students think that listening test should not be canceled. they insist listening is among the four basic skills. we therefore can not ignore it. besides, listening is one of the important channels for us to get information from the outside world. $o it should be strengthened today when international cooperation is becoming more and more frequent. but others don t agree. they think not everyone has to communicate with foreigners in the future. moreover, listening test is unfair to the students in the areas where radio signals cannot be picked up effectively. and for certain reasons, there is a big difference in teachers and equipment between the countryside and the city.

In school, I have to take a lot of lessons. Some are interesting while some are boring. But it’s the responsibility of the students to learn them all well. I have to try my best. During my growing time, a lot of trouble worried me. That’s awful and makes me blue.
Although I met with a lot of failure, I still have a lot of gains. I can make a pricelefriendship. I can learn a large number of useful things---to be kind, friendly to others, to be confident and independent and so on.
I think growing pains and gains are countless. But they play an important role in my life and make my life colourful.

the trees seem to laugh at the clouds while yet reaching for them with swaying branches。 trees must think that they are real， rooted， somebody， and that perhaps the clouds are only tickled water which sometimes blocks their sun。 but trees are clouds， too， of green leaves-clouds that only move a little。 trees grow and change and dissipate like their airborne cousins。and what am i but a cloud of thoughts and feelings and aspirations? don't i put out tentative mists here and there? don't i occasionally appear to other people as a ridiculous shape of thoughts without my intending to? don't i drift toward the north when i feel the breezes of love and the warmth of compassion?
