The rivers near our city have been seriously polluted recently. The clear water has gone. There used to be many fishes swimming freely in it. But now they are gone. Many factories in the city pour the waste into the rivers. And day after day, the once beautiful rivers have turned into smelly and dirty dustbins.

在第一堂英語課中（我是插班生），我很少發(fā)言，朋友跟我打招呼，我也不敢答應(yīng)。后來，陳老師發(fā)現(xiàn)了我是一位害羞的小姑娘，便叫我不要害怕，只要按平常的心理狀態(tài)去回答問題就行了。剛開始，他一次次的請(qǐng)我回答問題，我每次站起來后，都結(jié)結(jié)巴巴地回答，心里還“撲通、撲通”亂跳。但每一次陳老師都笑著說：“你的英語回答得很對(duì)，你也挺聰明，但是你回答問題時(shí)不要緊張，因?yàn)榛卮疱e(cuò)了沒有人會(huì)斥責(zé)你的，所以你不用怕，可以嗎？”聽了陳老師一次又一次鼓勵(lì)的話語，我的膽子漸漸大了，每一次上課時(shí)都能自己主動(dòng)舉手發(fā)言。就這樣，我的英語成績一天天提高，陳老師好像也格外地照顧我，喜歡我了。

however, since i went to middle school, my home is far away from my school, so we moved into a new house. i am not satisfied with this house. because it is much smaller than the old one. it has only two bedrooms, one bathroom and a kitchen.
it has not a living room. i am not happy that i have no place to put my books and clothes. but the house is near my school, so i can save much time on my way to school. although the house is small and old, but it is includes my parents’ love.
i love my new home.
