　　I still remember that thing a few years later and feel afraid. It happened on my way to play. It was Sunday. I would like to Maggie’s home for a visit. However, when I passed a river, I saw three children at my age playing in the river. How happy they were! At that time, I had a idea that I would like to ask Maggie to go swimming with me in the river. Suddenly, something scare happened. One the three chiledren slipped and the other two wanted to help him. Unfortunately, all of them were struggling. I was shock. And then I rushed to the river bank immediately. However, I saw nothing but the peaceful river. I knew what happened. I was frightened. A few hours later I heard the death of them. I was so frightened and sad that I have never go never any river since then.

　　多年后我仍然記得那件事，仍然感到害怕。它發生在我出去玩的路上。那是一個星期日。我想去瑪吉家。然而，在我路過一條河的時候，我看到三個與我年紀相仿的孩子在河里玩。他們是多么的開心啊！在那個時候，我有一個想法，我要叫瑪吉和我一起到河里游泳。突然，發生了一些恐怖的事情。其中一個孩子滑倒了，另外兩個想去幫他。不幸的是他們三個都一起在水里掙扎。我呆住了。然后我立刻沖到河邊。但是，除了平靜的河面我什么都沒看見。我知道發生了什么事。我嚇壞了。幾個小時后，我聽到他們死亡的消息。我很害怕很傷心以至于從那以后我從來沒有走近過任何河流。

　　This summer holiday, I went to Dalian with my family. We got there by air. Dalian is a very beautiful and modern city. On the bus, we could see all kinds of buildings which were great.

　　In the morning, we got to the hotel where we lived. After breakfast, we began to our travel. First we took the bus to the Sea Park. There are so many different kinds of fishes that I couldn't believe my eyes. We also saw the show of dolphins. Then we had lunch in a restaurant. The seafood which was very famous in China was delicious. After lunch we went swimming. The sea was blue and beach was golden. We all enjoyed ourselves in the sea. Finally we went back the hotel where we lived. We had a happy day.

　　In this trip, we also went to some places which were interesting and famous in Dalian, went shopping and so on.Several days later, we left Dalian. On our way home, we were very happy. This was the reason why we didn't feel tired. In all, we had a good holiday.

　　譯文：這個暑假，我們全家去了大連。我們是坐飛機去的。大連是一個既漂亮又現代的'城市。在公交車上我們見了各式各樣的高樓大廈，它們都很棒。

　　早上，我們便到了住宿的旅館。早飯后，我們開始了我們的旅程。首先我們坐公車去了海洋公園。那里有各種各樣的魚，我都要不相信我的眼睛了。我們還看了海豚表演。然后，我們在一家餐館吃了午飯。中國的海鮮果然是又出名又好吃。大海藍藍的，沙灘金燦燦的。我們都在海邊玩地很開心。最后，我們回到了酒店。我們度過了愉快的一天。

　　這次旅游，我們還去了許多大連有趣的、著名的景點，還去逛了街等等。幾天以后，我們離開了大連。在回家路上，我們也過得很開心。這也是我們都不覺得累的原因。總的來說我們度過了一個很棒的假期。

　　Today I did a thing that was well worth doing although I was misunderstood at the beginning.

　　This morning on my way to school, I was riding when I heard a call for help. A girl fell into the river! I got off my bike, took off my clothes and jumped into the river. After a few minutes' struggle, I finally saved the girl, I informed the girl's parents and then hurried to school. But I was still late for class. Not knowing the reason, the teacher criticized me.

　　In the afternoon, the girl's parents came to my school and thanked me for having saved their daughter. After the teacher learned the whole thing,he made an apology to me. And the headmaster praised me and also called on all the students to learn from me. I felt very proud.

　　7月17日晴

　　今天我做了一件非常值得做的事情，盡管開始我被誤會了。

　　今天早晨，在上學的路上，我正騎著車突然聽到呼救聲。一個小女孩落水了!我立即跳下車，脫掉衣服，跳到河里。幾分鐘的努力后我終于救了小女孩。我通知了小女孩的父母然后就急忙趕到學校，但是仍然遲到了。由于不知道原因，老師批評了我。

　　下午女孩的父母來學校感謝我救了他們的女兒。老師知道了整件事后向我道了歉。校長表揚了我并號召所有的學生向我學習。我感到非常自豪。

　　領導親自冒雪慰問群眾和民警職工。我還記得在一個揚聲器呼吁所有幀的站，總理，還記得這張照片的年輕女警端著一碗湯，微笑的女人用勺子喂養嬰兒的手；還記得電工在塔，揮動鑿子，然后散冰片的陰影下；還記得在救援，帳篷，士兵們熟睡的臉......
