一場有趣的辯論 An Interesting Debate
Today is Sunday. After supper, father, mother and I went to the park. I sat on the back of father's bike. After a while, father said, "Girl, you should lose weight." Mother agreed with father. But I thought it wasn't bad for me. So I said, "No, I don't want to. I like to be myself. Do you know the famous actress named Fei Fei in Hong Kong? She is very fat but very popular with the audience." "But few fat people can become famous," father didn't agree with me. And mother continued, "You know, a lot of illnesses are caused by obesity, such as heart disease, hypertension and so on."
It seemed I had two opponents. I should try my best to defeat them. So I quibbled, "There's nothing to be worried about. Anyway, the medical technology has been developed so advanced." And then I directed the spearhead at mother, "You are also so fat. Why don't you want to lose weight'?" Mother sighed, "I dowant to. But it's not good for me to do so. I'min my forties while you are so young. If you can do more exercises and control your diet, you'll easily lose weight." "No, you're rong. I said loudly. "Some experts say that exercises can't help people lose weight because they will eat more after the exercise."
今天是星期天。晚飯后，爸爸、媽媽和我去了公園。我坐在父親的自行車后座上。過了一會兒，父親說:“姑娘，你應該減肥。”母親同意父親的要求。但我覺得這對我來說并不壞。所以我說，“不，我不想。”我喜歡做我自己。你知道香港著名女演員費飛的名字嗎?她很胖，但很受觀眾歡迎。“但很少有胖人能出名，”父親不同意我的看法。母親繼續說，“你知道，很多疾病都是由肥胖引起的，比如心臟病，高血壓等等。”
好像我有兩個對手。我應該盡我最大的努力去打敗他們。所以我說，“沒什么好擔心的.。”無論如何，醫療技術已經發展得如此先進。然后我把矛頭指向了母親，“你也太胖了。”你為什么不想減肥呢?母親嘆了口氣，“我很想……”但這樣做對我不好。你這么年輕的時候我已經四十多歲了。如果你能做更多的運動，控制你的飲食，你就很容易減肥。”“不,你榮。我大聲說。“一些專家說，運動不能幫助人們減肥，因為運動后他們會吃得更多。”
