　　We are going to have a party in our house this evening. It is my mother's birthday, and she has invited my uncles and aunts and some of her friends. Mother and I are ordering most of the food for the party, and Father is getting the drinks. The living-room looks very pretty. Balloons of all colours are hanging from the lights.

　　In the dinning room we have put out the best plates, glasses and table cloths, and it all looks beautiful. We are going to have soup, fish, chicken, fruit and cheese. We are going to dance until midnight and after that, we will have some more food, because we will be hungry after all that dancing.

　　Last year my mother had her birthday party in a restaurant, but it is pleasanter at home. When it is my birthday, I am going to invite my friends and have a party in the garden. I will hang pretty lights in the trees and we will grill our food in the garden and dance on the grass.

　　There are many rules at my house. I have to get up at six o'clock and be home by 6:30pm.on weekdays. I have to do my homework after school.I can't watch TV and play puter games on school nights. I have to stay at home instead of my friends’ home on school nights . I should clean up my room every morning and we take turns to take out the trush and wash dishes. My parents don’t allow me to stay up until 11:00 pm because teenagers should sleep for 8~9 hours . I think the most strict rule is that my parents do not allow me to watch TV at night ，thought it is good for me .I can't do it .I think it is a good way to have a rest . Although I don’t agree with some of the ruls， I know my parents love me so I always obey my family rules.

　　Nowadays, quite a few college students lack conciousness of being grateful. They turn to take such things for granted, as parents supporting them, teachers helping them, and waiters serving them. They are even mean to say Thank you to others. This phenomenon has caused great attention from the whole society.

　　The following reasons can account for the lack of gratefulness conciousness. First of all, unsound family education plays an important role. Many parents turn to pay too much attention to children's academic performance, but ignore their value orientation. Moreover, schools don't input enough time and money in moral education. Besides, nowadays, college students get so much love that they are insenstive to others' care and help.

　　Considering the seriousness of the problem, it is high time to take effective measures to strengthen college students conciousness of being grateful. First, parents should improve self-quality and influence children by their own behaviors. Second, our society and schools must increase input in moral education, and try to build the atmosphere of being grateful. Finally, we college students should learn to express our gratefulness to people around us, just beginning from the simple Thank you.

　　various solutions have been suggested.but there seems to be a drawback to each of the solutions.the traditional free allocation of dwellings to the needy brings great economic burden to the government, while paid allocation brings equal burden to the average people.

　　the moving of urban population to the suburbs may ease housing problem in inner city but brings about traffic problem.the best solution seems to be a combination of all suggeted solutions.we still have a long way to go.
