I didn’t know then that I would remember that day for the rest of my life.This week, we’ll plant kohlrabi together again, perhaps for the last time but Ihope not. I don’t understand why planting kohlrabi with you is so important tome but it is. You wereso decent about it, Dad, and I think that was probably what made it the worstnight of my life.Our relationship improved immensely when I married a man youliked, and things really turned around when we begin making babies right andleft. We didn’t have a television set, you know, and we had to entertainourselves somehow. I didn’t know what to expect of you and Mom as grandparentsbut I didn’t have to wait long to find out. Those babies adored you then just asthey adore you now. When I see you with all your grandchildren, I know you’vegiven them the finest gift a grandparent can give. You’ve given themyourself.

Father looks after her very carefully. He never lets mother do any heavywork both at home and in the field. Mother appreciates him m much that she oftenpraises him as a model husband before others. Father is a person full ofoptimism. He never complains about our poor life. He is never frustrated bytrouble. He often tells us that everything will be all right if we have enoughconfidence in life. Due to his optimism， we are all confident to face our lifeand work.We all think that father is not in the least an ordinary man. He playsan extraordinary role in my family. We can t have anything without him. Now I m pursuing further studies at college far away from father. 3 I misshim very much. And I often see him in my dreams.
